Expression data from mouse skin
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 18 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Mouse Genome 430 2.0 Array (mouse4302)

Description

Winged bean (WB), Psophocarpus tetragonolobus, is a tropical legume, the potential of which is not yet been understood. We found that a 5 week-oral administration of WB seed extract inhibited wrinkle formation induced by repeated tape stripping (TS), which is a model of lichenification in human chronic eczematous dermatitis.

Publication Title

Effect of oral intake of winged bean extract on a skin lichenification model: evaluation by microarray analysis.

Characterization of gene expression profile in developing soybean seeds by DNA microarray
  • organism-icon Glycine max
  • sample-icon 8 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Soybean Genome Array (soybean)

Description

Gene expression profiles in soybean seeds at 4 developmental stages, pod, bean 2 mm, bean 5 mm, and full-sized bean, were examined by DNA microarray analysis. Total genes of each samples were classified into 4 clusters according to developmental stages. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were extracted by comparing their expression in two adjacent stages, by using the rank product method.

Publication Title

Global gene expression profiles in developing soybean seeds.

Expression data from lens epithelial cells (LECs) from Shumiya cataract rats (SCR) with or without cataract (Cat+ or Cat-)
  • organism-icon Rattus norvegicus
  • sample-icon 2 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Rat Gene 2.0 ST Array (ragene20st)

Description

The Shumiya cataract rat (SCR) is a model for hereditary cataract. Two-third of these rats develop lens opacity within 10-11-weeks. Onset of cataract is attributed to the synergetic effect of lanosterol synthase (Lss) and farnesyl-diphosphate farnesyltransferase 1 (Fdft1) mutant alleles that lead to cholesterol deficiency in the lenses, which in turn adversely affects lens biology including the growth and differentiation of lens epithelial cells (LECs). Nevertheless, the molecular events and changes in gene expression associated with the onset of lens opacity in SCR is poorly understood.

Publication Title

Identification of Differential Gene Expression Pattern in Lens Epithelial Cells Derived from Cataractous and Noncataractous Lenses of Shumiya Cataract Rat.

  • organism-icon Glycine max
  • sample-icon 8 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Soybean Genome Array (soybean)

Description

Global analyses on gene expression profiles in two soybean species, Nanahomare and Tamahomare was performed using DNA microarray technique. Nanahomare is glycinin deficient species, and is high in free amino acid content. Tamahomare is parent species of Nanahomare.

Publication Title

Expression of the stress-related genes for glutathione S-transferase and ascorbate peroxidase in the most-glycinin-deficient soybean cultivar Tousan205 during seed maturation.
